Los Angeles Sex Therapy Founder Moushumi Ghose's Mission Statement
Relationships and human sexuality are never just black and white, just like people, and the more we recognize and accept our diversity, the closer we get to living to our fullest potential.
One of my goals has been to help bring to the forefront aspects of our sexuality which have been shunned or shamed, things which are not accepted by the majority of our society. When it comes to sex and sexuality, in many ways we still live in the dark ages. Many folks are living in fear, shame, guilt of various aspects of their own sexuality. Even when we grow to accept our differences the amount of shame that goes along with lack of education is what we need to work towards breaking down.
Education around sex and sexuality is where I believe we need to start. Having conversations about sex, talking about sex, even just having suitable language and words to speak our sexual minds and voices to understand ourselves in relation to others is a great place to start.
My focus is around empowerment, encouraging you to have a voice. I work with sex and relationships for communities including LGBTQ, gender non-conforming, gender variant, kinky, non-monogamous, polyamorous, sex worker communities and other sexual minorities, not just around acceptance but also around recognizing the breadth of human sexuality and vast amount of choice we actually do have when it comes to expressing our selves.
